I realize it's been a long time since I've updated my DeviantArt and thought it was high time I said hello to all of my followers and friends out there. I'm still creating costumes despite the long break I've taken this year.  Hopefully I'll be having some new stuff put up by October of this year for Oni-Con 2013 which is shaping up to be yet another fantastic year. Way hype to have Nobu Uematsu coming back. I am forever in awe of the chance I've been given to work with him and The Earthbound Papas. Also, getting to go back to the beach is always nice.

This past month nearly killed me. I went from not being active into the convention scene, to attending every convention in the south. X_x; I've gone to four conventions in a row. Texas Frightmare,  Dallas ComicCon, ComicPalooza, and Project A-Kon. You never really realized just how tough these conventions are until they're one weekend after the next. Then again, I'm pretty sure that  thirteen years ago, when I first started cosplaying, this was A LOT easier thanks to the perks that come with being an energetic teenager. I had a great time despite the work involved, and loved seeing both old and new faces alike over the months. Those of you who stopped by my booth, thank you again for your support! It was a real treat being able to spend time with everyone.

I was lucky enough to meet Patrick Stewart and William Shatner within the same week, which makes my fangirl heart just swoon about. There were a few other major highlights, like getting to meet Brent Spiner (Who professed his undying love for me), LeVar Burton, and Christopher Lloyd earlier in the year. I was so grateful to be able to meet them, and want to say again how fortunate I feel to be able to do these conventions. Never just keep yourself to one "type" of fandom for that reason. Anime, Horror, Sci-Fi, Comics, doesn't matter. The people that you meet at these things? Half the time you feel like you've already known each other forever. You all share some flavor of the same fandom, after all.
